Vietnam’s smartphone market is being reshaped, driven by fiercer competition between Chinese brands and giants like Samsung and Apple amid double pressure of ever-increasing component and production costs, and weakening consumer purchasing power.
In early May, Oppo marked a new step in the Vietnamese smartphone market when the company introduced its flagship product line, Find X9 Ultra and Find X9s, showing its ambition in direct competition in the ultra-premium smartphone segment specialising in photography.
This marked the first time the company’s top-of-the-line product line has been fully launched in the domestic market, combining with the most powerful hardware technology breakthroughs available today.
The Find X9 Ultra focuses on delivering the company’s most advanced imaging technology, while the Find X9s version is geared towards versatility for users who love travel and mobile photography.
In February in Ho Chi Minh City, Xiaomi simultaneously introduced a new generation of products, including the Xiaomi 17 Series smartphones, the Xiaomi Pad 8 Series tablets, and a range of wearable devices. The highlight of the event was its focus on enhancing the mobile photography experience through deeper collaboration with Leica, while also expanding its ecosystem under a strategy where smartphones play a central role in connectivity.
