Plans submitted for a 'mix' of homes on edge of village

A PLAN to build six homes on the edge of Culmstock has been formally submitted to Mid Devon District Council, marking a significant development for the community.
The full planning application, lodged by Mr and Mrs Dorpman and represented by planning agent Anna Grantham, seeks permission to develop a 0.23-hectare parcel of vacant greenfield land at Linhay Close.
The site lies within the village's defined settlement boundary and is already allocated for residential development in the Mid Devon Local Plan. According to the Planning, Design and Access Statement, the scheme aims to deliver a “suitable mix of market and affordable housing,’ with two, three and four-bedroom homes proposed.
