Hall guides Tiverton to final-day Great Escape

IVERTON Town vice-chairman Matt Conridge says Asa Hall and Steven Orchard did a “truly incredible job” after the team avoided relegation from the Premier Division South of the Southern League on the final day of the season.
Hall and Orchard took over from Rob Dray on a temporary basis when the former manager left the club in March.
Tiverton started the season with Leigh Robinson in charge, but he left in October and was replaced by Dray, who made Cullompton Rangers manager Orchard a coach.
Hall had joined the club as a player from Torquay United in the summer - and stepped up in March, along with Orchard, to do a remarkable job in saving the club from the drop.
After Dray left, following the 5-0 defeat by Basingstoke Town on the first day of March, Tiverton drew their first two games under Hall 0-0 and won the next two. In the end, with the 3-2 win at Marlow on Saturday, it was five wins from 10 games, three draws and just two losses.
