Start small but sky's the limit

You don't need to spend a small fortune on equipment or tools, either. Everyday household items can easily be repurposed. Yesterday's newspaper can become pots for seedlings; an old casserole dish could be the perfect bird bath. With added drainage, old biscuit tins and wellies can be used to grow plants too (and they add a quirky, personal edge to your space).
