New dad sails to gold for GB to bury his Paris pain

BRITAIN'S Jeremiah Azu launched himself to 60m gold before bursting into tears, at the end of his redemption arc.

Welshman Azu, who became a father for the first time last week, was still fired up from his disqualification at last summer's Olympics because of a false start.

But heartbreak in Paris was replaced by joy in Apeldoorn as he dominated a wide open field to win in a personal best time of 6.49secs with veteran team-mate Andy Robertson, 34, claiming an impressive bronze 0.06secs behind.
