Significant Changes Likely Within BJP
The Sunday Guardian
|February 23, 2025
BJP's leadership shakeup and cabinet reshuffle are likely as national president election approaches.
The BJP has completed the election process for state presidents in several states, including Rajasthan. Once elections for state presidents are conducted in more than half of the states this month, the process of electing the national president is expected to begin. This makes the coming months crucial for both the central government and the party organisation. The new national president is likely to be appointed in March, after which the BJP will form a new team by April.
According to sources, some central ministers may be given responsibilities within the party. Once the organisational work is completed, a reshuffle in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's cabinet is almost certain, and discussions about it have already started. In May, Modi's third term will complete one year, and during this time, he may introduce new faces into his cabinet.
