Three arrested in Malaysia after tiger carcass found in vehicle

The authorities have arrested three men after the carcass of a Malayan tiger, believed to have been illegally hunted, was found in a vehicle during a raid at Felda Tenggaroh in Malaysia.

The joint operation, code-named Operasi Bersepadu Khazanah, was carried out by Bukit Aman Federal Reserve Unit (FRU) intelligence officers together with the Johor Wildlife and National Parks Department (Perhilitan).
Acting on public tip-offs, the team searched a multipurpose vehicle and discovered the carcass of the protected animal.
Three men aged 28 to 49 were arrested after failing to produce a special permit to possess or keep the fully protected species.
