Devotees eager to participate in the Thaipusam 2025 festival can make their bookings online from 9am on Dec 27 through the official festival website.

- Vihanya Rakshika

The festival, which will be observed on Feb 11, 2025, is a significant event for Tamil Hindus all around the world. In Singapore, it features a large-scale procession from Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple to Sri Thendayuthapani Temple.

During Thaipusam, devotees fulfil vows made to the Hindu deity Murugan, often by carrying paal kudam (milk pot offerings) or kavadis – decorated wood and metal arches.

More than 18,000 devotees took part in Thaipusam 2024, including 274 kavadi bearers and 12,800 paal kudam bearers.
