A s artificial intelligence (Al) transforms jobs and workflows, Singapore's companies are taking a pragmatic approach. They are investing in training, technology adoption and clearer career pathways to help staff adapt and upskill.

In a manpower-heavy sector known for long hours and high turnover, RS Facilities Services is setting itself apart by focusing its efforts on worker support and skills development, backed by technology and structured training. RS Facilities has equipped its teams with advanced robotics, smart machinery and water-saving equipment, and ensures staff are properly trained to operate them.
It has also raised salary levels during a manpower crunch, introduced clearer progression pathways and put support systems in place to retain older, experienced workers. These measures - together with its focus on staff welfare and recognition - have helped the company maintain one of the stronger retention rates in a sector known for churn.
