Sammi Cheng used wheelchair after injuring back

Hong Kong singer-actress Sammi Cheng sparked concern among her fans after she shared a video of herself in a wheelchair.

In an Instagram post on Oct 2, the 53-year-old revealed that she had been absent from social media for the past two weeks due to a back injury that required hospital care.

“My mood has been really down. I injured my lower back during a gym workout some 10 days ago,” she said.

“Since I couldn’t reach my usual orthopaedic doctor at the time, I opted for traditional Chinese treatment.”
