RACE 1 (1,250M)
(4) FOX ON THE RUN stayed on strongly to finish second to Gold Giboski on debut. From a neat draw, he will be very hard to beat.
(1) OBJET D'ART stayed on nicely for second behind Demanding Dave at Durbanville last start. He has a good draw, and he will be right there in the finish.
(7) FAST TRAIN stayed on well for fifth on debut, beaten just over five lengths. Include him in all bets.
(11) SOMMERSTERN will need a lot of luck in running from a wide draw. He can still sneak into the placings at a decent price.
RACE 2 (1,250M)
(3) MADRA RUA has been rested for 170 days. He finished just over five lengths behind Happy Verse at Kenilworth on debut. From a good draw, he will go very close.
(4) FREEDOM FIGHTER has been rested for 165 days. He stayed on well for second to Intensity at Greyville on debut. If he handles Durbanville, he will figure.
(6) SLIVER OF SUNSHINE flashed up to run fourth behind Siriano on debut. He should improve. Include him in all bets.
(10) UMZINGELI WENYATHI has been rested and gelded. He is consistent and will have his first run at Durbanville. Watch him closely.
RACE 3 (1,600M)
(2) CLOUDS CLEARING ran a nice fourth to Might Mary at Durbanville on Sept 7. She now steps up in trip to 1,600m, gets a good draw and champion apprentice Brevan Plaatjies up. She will run a cracker.
