Mild earthquake strikes Johor three days after first two

A mild earthquake with a magnitude of 3.2 struck Johor on the morning of Aug 27, with tremors felt in parts of the southern Malaysian state and southern Pahang.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) said in a Facebook post that the earthquake was recorded 18km south of Segamat at 8.59am.
The epicentre was located at 2.33 deg north and 102.79 deg east, with a depth of 10km.
Segamat is about 180km from Singapore.
In a statement, MetMalaysia director-general Mohd Hisham Mohd Anip said the earthquake, which happened on the Mersing Fault Zone, was an aftershock from earlier quakes that occurred on Aug 24.
"The public need not worry as this earthquake was of a weak magnitude," he said.
