Man held after alleged murder of wife in Chinatown hotel

A 41-year-old man is expected to be charged in court for the alleged murder of a 38-year-old woman at a hotel in South Bridge Road on Oct 24.

In a statement on Oct 24, the police said the man went to Bukit Merah East Neighbourhood Police Centre at 7.40am to inform police officers that he had killed his wife.
The police said the suspect was arrested for his alleged involvement in the murder. He is slated to be charged on Oct 25.
Officers found the woman lying motionless in a room at the Capri by Fraser China Square hotel, and she was subsequently pronounced dead by Singapore Civil Defence Force paramedics at the scene.
