We thank Mr Lim Heng Ann for his letter "Help protect leopard cats spotted in Changi area" (Feb 12), which highlights the urgent need to safeguard the survival of leopard cats along the Changi coastal stretch.

We share his concern about the potential impact of habitat clearance and development plans on the local leopard cat population. The threat of roadkill is concerning, as evidenced by the roadkill incident in 2019.
