Italian 125cc neo-classic dirt bike with bling
The Straits Times
|January 25, 2025
Few motorcycle producers would put money and development into motorcycles meant for daily commutes, especially when it is a humble 125cc machine.
Fantic Motor, an Italian company that began manufacturing motorcycles in 1968, is one of the exceptions. The brand, which made its Singapore debut in late 2024, bucks this trend with its Moto Scrambler Caballero 125.
While boasting a silhouette similar to those of retro dirt bikes, with its round headlamp, knobby tyres, wire-spoked wheels and wide motocross foot pegs, certain modern features stand out on the Caballero.
Near its tail end, two diagonally shaped mufflers protrude from the right plastic side covers. Its red slender plastic fuel tank cover veils a 12-litre fuel reservoir.
Then there are the billet aluminium rider foot peg brackets, and the top and bottom yokes that hold the front suspension forks. The mid-pipe has a carbon fibre heat shield, and all these look exquisite on the dual-purpose Caballero. A rear rack and panniers can be added as options.
While the bike may draw envious looks from enthusiasts, more discreet features can be found on its handlebars.
