Hong Kong diva Liza Wang gives back at upcoming concerts

For Hong Kong diva Liza Wang, her concerts at the Sands Grand Ballroom on March 22 and 23 will be particularly meaningful.
That is because a portion of the ticket sales will be donated to Ren Ci Hospital, which provides holistic and affordable medical, nursing and rehabilitative care services to the elderly and underprivileged.
Ahead of the shows, the 77-year-old shared with Singapore media over Zoom that it was important to give back. Show organiser Biz Trends Media is making the donation, which she felt was a worthy cause.
She said: "You can come and listen to some songs and do charity at the same time."
Helping the elderly and sick is a cause close to her heart, she said, as she herself battled thyroid cancer in the 1980s. She has since recovered and is now a member of the executive committee of the Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society.
