Dolphin-like fossil that is at least 8 million years old found in Peruvian desert

Palaeontologists in Peru on Sept 17 unveiled the fossilised skeleton of an ancient dolphin-like creature estimated to be between eight million and 12 million years old.
-
The remains were discovered in July in Peru’s Ocucaje Desert, an area south of the capital Lima that was once part of the Pacific Ocean.
