BullsAndBears Regional markets fall amid fears over US growth, tech stocks

Red ink washed over regional markets on Sept 4 after declines on Wall Street overnight, triggered by renewed concerns over once highflying tech stocks.
The Wall Street bloodletting was also due in part to renewed worries about a slowing economy.
Key indexes notched their worst day since Aug 5. The S&P 500 lost 2.1 per cent, the Nasdaq plunged 3.3 per cent and the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 1.5 per cent.
The carnage was especially pronounced in Japan, where the Nikkei 225 dived 4.2 per cent, its worst one-day loss for several weeks.
