The home ministry headed CM Fadnavis issued a statement that the accused will be arrested soon
Maharashtra's opposition parties attacked the Fadnavis-led Mahayuti government on Thursday after the rape of a 26-year-old woman at a bus stand in Pune, even as the home ministry headed CM Fadnavis issued a statement that the accused will be arrested soon.
Earlier, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray praised his party workers led by Pune's Shiv Sena leader Vasant More for ransacking the office of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) at the Swargate bus stand depot in Pune, after the rape incident became news.
"You did the right thing. We are fighting against whatever is happening. It is very painful to see what is happening in the state. There is no fear of police left. Convey my thanks to everyone else who protested and continue to be vigilant," Thackeray told More.
