IHCL MoU with SMPK for restoration of historic ghat in downtown Kolkata

A historic ghat in Kolkata, built over 150 years ago on the Hooghly bank, is set to become an important attraction in the city once restoration and beautification work on it is carried out.
Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), regarded as India's largest hospitality company, today announced its collaboration with Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port authorities for the redevelopment of Chotelal Ki Ghat, situated on Strand Bank Road near Fairley Place.
Built in the 1870s, the restoration project is being supported by INTACH (Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage).
