BGT: Shastri, Gavaskar Ask Rohit Sharma To Return As Opener For Brisbane Test

Former India head coach Ravi Shastri suggested Rohit Sharma to return to his usual opening slot as India gear up to bounce back from the humiliating 10-wicket defeat in the pink-ball Test against Australia at Adelaide, that allowed the home side to level the five-match series at 1-1.
Shastri's views were echoed by little master Sunil Gavaskar, who reminded the Indian team management that KL Rahul's promotion as opener in the first Test was a temporary move, while pointing out Rohit's effectiveness at the top of the order.
Rohit, who had missed the opening Test in Perth for personal reasons, dropped down to the number six spot in the day-night Test at the Adelaide Oval after KL Rahul excelled with a 200-run opening stand in his absence.
