Star batters aim to lead their teams to victory as Kolkata Knight Riders, Punjab Kings gear up for battle
Having suffered a heart-breaking defeat in their previous match, Punjab Kings will aim to pick up the pieces when they take on defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in an Indian Premier League (IPL) clash at their home ground on Tuesday.
Despite piling on a mammoth total of 245 against Sunrisers Hyderabad in their previous tie, Punjab were blown away by a whirlwind knock of 141 off just 55 balls by Abhishek Sharma as the Kings endured an eight-wicket thrashing.
To add injury to insult, Punjab Kings (PBKS) fast bowler Lockie Ferguson is likely to miss the rest of IPL 2025, said bowling coach James Hopes ahead of their clash against KKR.
Ferguson walked off the field due to a left leg issue after bowling just two balls in his side's match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Saturday.
