|November 21, 2025
Slamming the Modi government for rejecting the Metro Rail projects for Madurai and Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK president MK Stalin on Thursday called it another proof that the BJP-led dispensation at the Centre had an "inbuilt nefarious intention" to block the development of the state.
"Yet another betrayal by the Prime Minister. Even before his speech made before farmers could vanish and his visit to Coimbatore could become a thing of past, the Union Government has turned down our request to enhance moisture content in paddy for procurement from the present 17 percent to 22 percent, in view of the monsoon rains," he wrote on his 'X' timeline.
