The chief minister said that Jagannath Dham temple at Digha, built by HIDCO, would be inaugurated on 30 April and a yajna would be done on 29 April.
Chief minister Mamata Banerjee today said that she had never said anything disparaging the Mahakumbh. A negative narrative was being set out, distorting her actual comments.
Miss Banerjee also raised questions on an alleged misinformation campaign saying that the Mahakumbh was being organised after 144 years, which she doubted.
What I had said was the alleged lack of planning that was one of the factors that led to such a fiasco, but my words were distorted, to create a negative narrative. MAMATA BANERJEE was the truth.
