KTR slams BJP over Polavaram
The Statesman Siliguri
|August 17, 2025
BRS working president KT Rama Rao has slammed the BJP for overlooking the repeated damage suffered by the coffer dam of the under-construction Polavaram Dam in Andhra Pradesh but creating a hue and cry over the few sagging pillars of the Kaleshwaram Dam in Telangana.
He also criticized the Congress for failing to repair the damages in the Kaleshwaram Dam, pointing out that the Polavaram Dam was being repaired on a war footing.
Rao, more popularly known as KTR, criticized the national parties for being biased after reports emerged that the coffer dam of the Polavaram Dam was again damaged in the heavy, continuous rains for the past ten days.
