CM Questions Centre Over Refusal To Hold Special Session Of Parliament Over Pahalgam & Its Aftermath

West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamul Congress chairperson Mamata Banerjee has sharply criticised the Modi-led central government for refusing to hold a special session of Parliament to discuss the Pahalgam incident and its repercussions.
Posting on X, she wrote: "Why does the Modi government try to stonewall the opposition's demand for a special session of Parliament? Why is @BJP4India scared of accountability?"
Miss Banerjee has repeatedly called for a special session to address the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, in which 26 people, most of them tourists, were killed. However, the Centre has stated that no such session will be held before the Monsoon session, scheduled to begin on 21 July.
She further accused the BJP of fearing accountability, alleging that it has refused to respond to questions raised by opposition parties.
