4 out of 5 Indian professionals plan to look for a new job in 2025: LinkedIn

Movement in the job market was nothing to write home about throughout the last year as the labor market was sluggish for job seekers.

The fact that job search turned out to be harder and more challenging notwithstanding, searches for new jobs are still on, will continue and will grow in 2025. As high as 82 percent (that is, four in five) professionals in India plan to look for a new job this year (2025).

Interestingly, 55 percent (that is more than half) clearly admit that job search became harder during the last year. At least that's what the latest research by LinkedIn, the world's largest professional network, suggests.

There is another side and another twist in the story. More than two-thirds (69 percent) of Indian HR professionals feel it has become more challenging to find qualified talent for a role, signaling a necessary shift in the way professionals will need to apply for and end up getting a job in 2025.
