Jharkhand’s Rural Development Department has launched an artificial intelligence (AI) training initiative for its officials and employees in a move aimed at strengthening administrative efficiency and digital governance.

The initiative, introduced under the leadership of Rural Development, Rural Works and Panchayati Raj Minister Dipika Pandey Singh, (photo) seeks to integrate modern technology into administrative processes to improve transparency, monitoring and decision-making.

As part of the programme, the department established a Rural AI Support Cell on 17 October, 2025, to institutionalise the use of AI and digital tools in governance.
