The Indian men's hockey team are preparing for their European leg of the FIH Hockey Pro League 2024-25, where they will face the likes of the Netherlands, Argentina, Australia and Belgium. And making his comeback in the national camp is the forward Selvam Karthi.
Speaking on being drafted back into the national team set-up for the first time since the Asian Champions Trophy Chennai 2023, Karthi said, "I am very happy to be back in the national camp. But there is work to do, and my aim is to make it to the final squad for the FIH Hockey Pro League.
"I had been working hard on my own, and now the focus is solely to continue with my efforts so that I am part of the Indian team in the major tournaments that are coming up in the future."
