many risk management layers inbuilt. Excerpts:

Q: What is the strategy like of Jio BlackRock? I mean, who leverages which strength of others and how?

A: There are clear synergies of both Jio and BlackRock in this JV which is Jio BlackRock AMC - BlackRock is driving the investment and risk functions which are their core expertise along with providing the Aladdin platform which makes the entire process data driven and highly efficient and integrated while Jio provides the digital retail reach across the length and breadth of India, which allows us to focus on direct-only plans.

Q: How do you plan a comprehensive product suite including active and passive funds?

A: Currently we have the 3 Cash Funds (Liquid, Overnight and Money Market) and 5 index funds out of which 4 are equity and 1 fixed income. We are in the process of launching our first active fund which is in Flexicap category and NFO starts from 23 Sept. We want to have many more active funds across equity, hybrid and fixed income space over the next year. We will also continue to launch index funds and ETFs in parallel. So over time there should be a healthy mix of active and passive funds from us.
