Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced on Saturday that the Odisha Vision Document will be officially launched on 12 June, marking the first anniversary of his government. The document will serve as a strategic roadmap aimed at transforming Odisha into a USD 500 billion economy by 2036.
Speaking at the NITI Aayog meeting in Delhi, the Chief Minister said that the Vision Document was formulated based on inputs from more than 3.2 lakh citizens collected through an online engagement process.
"Our vision focuses on ensuring irrigation for all cultivable land to enhance agricultural productivity and farmers' income," he said. "We are also promoting rapid urbanization as a major driver of economic growth."
Highlighting infrastructure development, CM Majhi emphasized the state's commitment to world-class road, rail, and air connectivity, alongside the strategic utilization of Odisha's extensive coastline through port-based Special Economic Zones (SEZs).
