SA returns to Miss Universe and Rachel Kolisi cheers on Liphelo

BOKANG Montjane-Tshabalala, the newly-appointed national director of Miss Universe SA, confirmed that SA will have a representative at this year's Miss Universe.

Here are the celebrity highlights that made headlines:

Miss SA organisers had previously announced that the nation will not be competing at this year's Miss Universe, citing that they did not have enough time to prepare the upcoming beauty queen.

However, this week, former Miss SA 2010 Bokang Montjane-Tshabalala revealed that SA will be competing at the international beauty competition shortly after she announced her appointment as the newly-appointed national director of Miss Universe SA.

Melissa Nayimuli will represent South Africa at the event in Thailand in November.

Rachel Kolisi took to Instagram recently to pen a heartfelt tribute to Liphelo Madlingozi, who will soon be part of the matric class of 2026.

She shared several pictures from Liphelo's school induction for the Grade 11s, who will soon be part of the upcoming matric class.

"Induction day for my girl, can't believe we're at matric already; I remember her starting grade 1 like it was yesterday! So proud of you," she wrote in her post.

Rapper and TV presenter Jub Jub (real name Molemo Maarohanye) is making his comeback on the Moja Love reality show Uyajola 9/9.

The new season is scheduled to premiere on November 2, while Jub Jub is facing a lawsuit of R12 million after Sheron Tose took legal action against him from an incident where the Uyajola 9/9 crew supposedly barged into her and her partner's bedroom.
