IF YOU rely on your morning coffee to kickstart the day, there might be a way to make it work even harder for you — and it involves adding just one common kitchen ingredient.

- SARENE KLOREN

Health expert Dr Karan Rajan and nutritionist Corey Rodriguez recently shared a tip on TikTok that combines coffee with cocoa for a potential brain boost.

The idea is based on the concept of “food synergy” - the way certain foods can complement each other to enhance their health benefits.

Corey explained that mixing cocoa into your coffee could lead to greater mental clarity and improved mood. That’s because caffeine (found in coffee) and theobromine (a compound in cocoa) work together to sharpen focus and elevate alertness.
