Builder's 4am starts for charity challenge

BUILDER Stu Hall is constructing a festive bonus for kids in need - by taking on an 'advent calendar' running challenge.

The 39-year-old, of Kidsgrove, challenged himself to match the date in kilometres and raise funds for the NSPCC. He began the challenge this month, and says he has been driven to conquer further and further distances.

Stu said: "It all started after I saw a trend on social media. It's called the advent calendar run. On the first of December you run 1k, then you add an extra kilometre to each day until you reach Christmas Eve - which is a massive 24k run! And this year, instead of just reposting it, I thought about doing it and raising money for charity.
