Port Vale

- Clive Youlton

DARREN Moore sang the praises of his opposite number Dave Challinor ahead of tonight’s home clash with Stockport County.

The Valiants boss sees his men pair up with high-riding County live in front of the Sky Sports cameras at 8pm.

It promises to be an interesting match-up with Vale looking for only their fourth win of the League One campaign.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Moore said: “I just think the work that Dave Challinor has done there, and how he sets his team up, the club has been transformed.

“Last year they will probably feel they missed out on a promotion spot. But certainly I would imagine they have learned from it and they are applying themselves in the manner they are.

“They are a good team, with good players, and a good structure, so everything about them bodes well for another successful season and I would imagine in the camp, their eyes are looking at the next division above.

“Again it’s a game that we as a football club are looking forward to and that’s why we worked incredibly hard last year to be in games and compete in games like this.
