Vale are starting to click in new division, insists Porter

PORT Vale Supporters’ Club chairman Mark Porter is delighted to see the team kicking into gear ahead of Saturday’s home game against Northampton Town.

SAFE HANDS: Joe Gauci has impressed since moving to Port Vale in the summer.
But he admitted boss Darren Moore has a dilemma in just who to pick in the forthcoming games, particularly in midfield which is packed with talent.
He also praised Moore for the new signings, especially Devante Cole, George Hall and Jordan Gabriel who he believes will all be in contention for player of the year come the end of the League One season. He has also been hugely impressed with Aston Villa loanee Joe Gauci in goal.
Asked if he is happy with the season overall, Porter said: “Yes, although I wasn’t to start with because I thought we could have got more out of the games although we played well.
“We seemed to be not scoring goals. As the season pans out, in the words of one swallow doesn’t make a summer, we are starting to get more swallows because the summer is starting to happen and we have started to get goals and that’s impressive”
