Swimming pool splashes out on 'essential' repairs to roof

Revised timetable as work under way to tackle corrosion
ESSENTIAL repairs to the roof above the main swimming pool at a North Staffordshire leisure centre get under way today.
The work is needed because of corrosion of the underside of the roof at Jubilee2 in Newcastle town centre.
And, as a result, while the repairs take place, the main swimming pool will need to be temporarily closed to ensure people's safety.
The small pool will remain open for the duration of the scheme and have extended hours - with adults and school swimming lessons included.
