Reigning champions Ball Haye are finally up and running after they survived late FC Hanley fightback

Green - who had lost their first two games of the season - beat FC Hanley at Northwood Stadium.

Rob Pearson gave Green the advantage at halftime, before Brad Wilson's double and Harrison Birch’s fourth made it comfortable.

However, Hanley’s Lewis McMurdo scored twice to set up a tense finale that Ball Haye Green ultimately navigated to claim their first win of the season.

Brereton Social maintained their perfect start to the campaign by dispatching Leek CSOB 3-1.

Max Marshall's brace and a strike from Charlie Turner ensured Brereton’s dominance, with Greg Large’s late goal providing scant consolation for Leek.

Brereton top the table on goal difference from Ashbourne, who continued their winning ways with a solid 2-0 triumph over Wolstanton United, courtesy of first-half goals from Freddie Murphy and Arron Russell.

In a fiercely contested match at Wood Park, AFC Crewe narrowly missed out on points after falling 1-0 to Rocester after Allan Mbae netted a dramatic last-minute winner.

AFC Norton and Audley played out a cagey affair, before Jack Turnock produced a moment of quality, to secure all three points for Norton.

Newcastle Town continued their promising start to the season with a 2-2 draw against Silverdale Athletic. The visitors were indebted to Aaron Johns, left, whose brace ensured Silverdale returned home with a point, while Newcastle held their own in an entertaining contest.

Milton United stormed to a 5-0 victory over Redgate Clayton, who had previously won their opening three matches.
