Opportunity knocking for young people in city with £8m 'transformation' pilot

STOKE-ON-TRENT has been revealed as one of the areas to benefit from a new £8 million pilot project to provide young people with the high quality 'out of school' services and skills they need to thrive.

The Local Youth Transformation scheme will support councils to improve and invest in youth services to provide young people with opportunities.

The programme forms part of the Government's wider Plan for Change, with a focus on 'reconnecting young people with their communities and protecting them from the isolating effects of excessive time spent online'.
