GOVERNMENT ministers are investigating how to support the pottery industry in Stoke-on-Trent as part of a new strategy.

Key players in the ceramics sector were hoping there would have been mention of specific help in Wednesday's Spending Review revealed by Chancellor Rachel Reeves.
And while Stoke-on-Trent Central MP Gareth Snell spoke of his disappointment there wasn’t, Industry Minister Sarah Jones said the pottery industry was ‘crucial’ to the UK and the Government was exploring how to support the sector.
The pledge comes after pottery firms have been hit by rising energy costs and falling sales, and
