Council chiefs will listen to residents
COUNCIL leaders have agreed to draw up a new masterplan which could see up to 1,200 homes built on greenfield land.
But cabinet members at Stoke-on-Trent City Council insist that the proposals for Packmoor will take into account concerns raised by residents during a recent consultation.
The city council is looking at building homes on 80 hectares of farmland it owns to the east of Packmoor, to help meet local demand for new housing. Hundreds of people took part in the consultation on the future of Packmoor, with most opposing development of the land.
