A LOLLIPOP man who suffered a massive heart attack while waiting for fish and chips is back helping children safely cross the road.
Graham Scott, 81, has been a crossing warden for 24 years and currently works at Hempstalls Primary School in Newcastle. He suffered a major cardiac arrest at the start of this year, while waiting in the queue for his chippy dinner.
Fortunately, a nurse who was also in the queue was able to perform CPR and use a local defibrillator to save his life. After a period of rest and recovery, Graham was determined to get back to the job he loves, something he did every day come rain or shine before his health issue.
