New job and home for mature student who quit mortgages role
A FORMER mortgage advisor has found a new career and a new home - after graduating with a first class degree.
Louise Shipcott spent more than a decade working in finance before deciding to pursue a different path and applied to study a BSc (hons) in cyber security at the University of Staffordshire.
“If you told me a few years ago that I'd be standing here today, with a cyber security degree, I'd have laughed from my desk and carried on explaining mortgage rates and chasing paperwork,’ said the 37-year-old from Weston Coyney.
“For many years I knew I wanted to do something different. Something I was genuinely interested in.
“So, I made the decision to leave a good stable career and jump into the unknown.”
