Hit-and-run victim named as two more held by cops

POLICE investigating the hit-and-run death of a 17-year-old boy have made two more arrests.

They have now detained a 17-year-old boy and a 20-year-old woman on suspicion of causing the death of Alex Woodward by dangerous driving.

It follows the earlier arrests of two boys - aged 16 and 17 - on suspicion of the same offence. Alex, from Bucknall, passed away at the Royal Stoke University Hospital in the early hours of Saturday after being struck by a car on Dawlish Drive, in Bentilee, on Friday night.
