Former City boss says Championship ‘a lot harder’ next season

GARY Rowett is predicting the Championship will be a lot more difficult next season as he targets a top 10 spot with Oxford United.

The former Stoke City manager took over at Oxford mid-way through last season, when the club — playing at this level for the first time since 1999 — was sitting second-bottom, having lost six out of their last seven and panicking about an immediate return to League One.
