Fans will pay tribute at Potters match to toddler who was born at just 28 weeks
HEARTBROKEN parents Damien Holford and Joanna Elks have paid tribute to their 'miracle' toddler, who defied all the odds before passing away at just 18 months of age.
Now Stoke City fans have rallied round to remember Daneya-Faith Holford, who was born at just 28 weeks. Supporters are today being urged to pay tribute in the 18th minute of today's game against West Bromwich Albion.
The toddler's parents say the reaction from football supporters, friends and family, has helped bring some comfort as they come to terms with their loss.
Daneya-Faith's battle for life began when 35-year-old Joanna's waters broke at 20 weeks and six days. The parents, of Bucknall, were prepared for the fact their baby would not survive. But she arrived at 28 weeks crying and screaming, which they say medics had warned was unlikely.
