Clark puts pen to paper on fresh Valiants contract

PORT Vale have continued their planning for League One by agreeing a new one-year deal with defender Mitch Clark.

Clark, aged 26, played 22 times last season after missing the start of the campaign with a neck injury. However, he returned to play a key role as the Valiants bounced back to the third tier at the first attempt.

Clark, below, was also on the scoresheet last season, finding the back of the net in the 2-0 victory over Bradford City in April.

First-team manager Darren Moore told the club’s website: “We're really pleased to have reached an agreement with Mitch to keep him here at Vale Park.
