Robins delighted by Potters' progress as new Championship campaign looms on the horizon

MANAGER Mark Robins has hailed how receptive his Stoke City squad have been in shifting the fundamental approach to matches during this preseason - as they prepare to tackle the Championship at the beginning of next month.

Robins steered the club to survival last year when becoming their third different boss of the campaign on New Year's Day.

Now, he and his staff have used this preseason period to alter the way Stoke will go about preparing for and dismantling opponents in the hope of improved performances and results.
