THE countdown is on to the return of a food and drink festival which went down a storm on its debut last year.
This year's Castle Food & Drink Fest returns to Newcastle on June 21 with the promise of artisan traders, family fun and fantastic food in the heart of town.
Building on the success of its debut, the free event will transform the Ironmarket and High Street into a celebration of culture and cuisine.
From 11am to 4pm, visitors can explore more than 40 artisan stalls showcasing street food, handmade gifts and homemade bakes.
