48 years' jail for drugs gang

A1 drugs line flooded the streets of Stoke-on-Trent with multiple kilos of crack cocaine and heroin
SIX dealers have been jailed for a total of 48 years.
They operated the A1 drugs line and sold kilos of crack cocaine and heroin on the streets of Stoke-on-Trent between October 2020 and March 2022.
Abu Iqbal and Kyle Pattinson led the operation. They were assisted by Amin Mamon, Nadeen Mehmood, Joshua Knapper, and Jamie Dale.
A seventh member of the gang - Kieron Tonks - has been spared jail.
Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard two mobile phones were used to communicate with customers with about 200 adverts distributed every day.
The gang members are:
■Homeless Abu Iqbal, aged 23, pleaded guilty to conspiring to supply heroin and crack cocaine as well as possessing criminal property. He has been jailed for 12 years.
■Kyle Pattinson, aged 24, of Sneyd Street, Cobridge, pleaded guilty to conspiring to supply heroin and crack cocaine. He has been jailed for nine years and four months.
■Amin Mamon, aged 37, of Norton Hall Close, Norton, was convicted of conspiring to supply heroin and crack cocaine. He has been jailed for 10 years.
■Nadeen Mehmood, aged 36, of Federation Road, Burslem, pleaded guilty to conspiring to supply heroin and crack cocaine. He has been jailed for eight years and six months.
■Jamie Dale, aged 23, of St Luke's Court, Hanley, pleaded guilty to conspiring to supply heroin and crack cocaine. He has been jailed for six years.
■Joshua Knapper, aged 21, of Morton Street, Middleport, was convicted of conspiring to supply heroin and crack cocaine as well as being concerned in the supply of the class B drug cannabis. He has been jailed for three years.
■Keiron Tonks, aged 20, of Woolrich Street, Middleport, pleaded guilty to conspiring to supply heroin and crack cocaine. He was handed a 16-month prison sentence, suspended for 18 months.
